Is creating a KDP account free?
Yes — KDP itself is free to join and free to publish on; Amazon takes its share from each sale rather than charging upfront. What you’re paying us for is configuring the dozens of settings correctly and teaching you the platform.
I’m not a US author — how does the tax interview work?
KDP’s tax interview determines withholding on your US sales. Completed correctly with your country’s tax identification, most treaty-country authors (UK, Canada, Australia, EU and many more) reduce US withholding substantially — often to zero. Completed carelessly, 30% is withheld by default. We handle it properly as standard.
Should I choose the 35% or 70% royalty plan?
70% applies to eBooks priced within Amazon’s main band (roughly £1.99–£9.99 / $2.99–$9.99) and carries a small delivery fee; 35% applies outside that band. For most books the answer is a 70%-band price — but strategy books, very short works and permafree series starters can differ. We’ll set the right plan for yours.
Can you fix a KDP account I’ve already set up?
Yes — audits and corrections are common work. We review every setting, fix tax, metadata, category and pricing issues, and document the corrected configuration. Backlist books often see immediate improvements from setup fixes alone.
Will you need my Amazon password?
